ormal Briefing A compulsory site meeting and RFQ briefing will be conducted at 151 South Coast Road, Loliwe HouseBayhead, Durban 4001 on the 30 September 2024, at 10:00am for a period of ± 1hour. [Respondents to provide own transportation and accommodation]. The briefing session will start punctually and information will not be repeated for the benefit of Respondents arriving late. 2.1 A Certificate of Attendance in the form set out in Section 8 hereto must be completed and submitted with your Proposal as proof of attendance is required for a compulsory site meeting and RFQ briefing. 2.2 Respondents failing to attend the compulsory RFQ briefing will be disqualified. 2.3 Respondents are encouraged to bring a copy of the RFQ to the site meeting and RFQ briefing. 2.4 Bidders are required to confirm their attendance and to send their contact details including the number of representatives (Due to available sitting space bidders may not send more than two representatives) to the following address: Thembinkosi.Ngcobo@transnet.net This is to ensure that Transnet may make the necessary arrangements for the briefing session. 2.5 Specific queries relating to this RFQ before the closing date of the RFQ should be submitted onto the system and to Mduduzi.Khoza@Transnet.net before 10:00 am on or before the closing date on 07 October 2024. In the interest of fairness and transparency Transnet’s response to such a query will then be made available to other bidders. 2.6 It is prohibited for Respondents to attempt, either directly or indirectly, to canvass any officer or employee of Transnet in respect of this RFQ between the closing date and the date of the award of the business. 2.7 Respondents found to be in collusion with one another will be automatically disqualified and restricted from doing business with organs of state for a specified period. 2.8 Respondents may also, at any time after the closing date of the RFQ, communicate with the Thembinkosi Ngcobo on any matter relating to its RFQ response: Telephone- 031 361 4023 Email: Thembinkosi.Ngcobo@Transnet.net 2.9 All unsuccessful bidders have a right to request Transnet to furnish individual reasons for their bid not being successful.
